Food Assistance
Our
Member Share Grocery Program provides members who financially qualify unrestricted access to nutritious groceries. Members participate by providing a nominal handling fee that covers the cost of transportation and storage of the product.
From January 1, 2018 to February 31, 2018, member families have saved an estimated $4.8 million in grocery budgets of our members; savings can be used to pay for other necessities such as childcare and rent.
Additionally, the UP Center’s
Emergency Pantry and ongoing Food Assistance Programs including programs provide emergency food and ongoing support to those in need.
